Miguel R. Aguilo-Seara, M.D. – Medical Director

Miguel R. Aguilo-Seara, M.D., was trained and completed a psychiatric residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.,  a geriatric fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital, and a neurology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.  He is an advocate for geriatric patients dealing with Degenerative Brain Disease, including Dementia and related behaviors.  In addition to being Haven’s Medical Director, Dr. Seara maintains a private practice, consults with nursing homes, and teaches medical students and geriatric fellows.  He is ranked among the top physicians in Philadelphia by Mainline Today Magazine

Abigail Halloran – Chief Executive Officer

Abigail Halloran brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health field.  She has worked with all age populations and all levels of care.  She has extensive experience with regulatory compliance, knowledge of regulatory requirements, maintaining Performance Improvement programs and initiatives and assisting in the identification, implementation and maintenance of best practice structures. 

Monique I. Sexton, MHA – Director of Business Development

An experienced behavioral health professional, Sexton brings leadership, recruitment, marketing strategy, and hospital administration to this position. Most recently, Sexton was a core part of the leadership team and the Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing for Malvern Institute in Malvern, PA where she consistently met goals, increased company revenue, and improved patient census.   Sexton’s personal mission to continually strive for excellence with patients, family and referrals sources was exactly what Haven was looking for in this position.

A graduate of Excelsior College in Albany, NY, Sexton received her Masters in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Miles C. Ladenheim, M.D., Esq. – Court Liaison

Miles C. Ladenheim, M.D., Esq., is a psychiatrist and lawyer, who has been with Haven since 2014. He has been involved in over 25,000 civil commitment cases on behalf of hospitals since 1992, and frequently gives lectures to attorneys and hearing officers on aspects of Pennsylvania’s Mental Health Procedures Act (which governs 302’s and other involuntary petitions). He was also an Adjunct Professor at Temple Law School, where he formerly taught Mental Health Law.

Ladenheim, holds an A.B. degree from Columbia University, an M.D. degree from the S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center at Brooklyn (formerly Downstate Medical Center) and a J.D. degree (magna cum laude) from the Temple University Beasley School of Law. Ladenheim is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Administrative Psychiatry, and is a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. 

Steve Wonsiewski – Director of Nursing

Steve Wonsiewski has over twenty years of experience working in various roles within the mental health field.  After beginning his career in provider relations, Wonsiewski assisted in the development and management of the Field Case Management program of a major behavioral health management organization.  Prior to joining the Haven team, Wonsiewski spent ten years as an RN at a geriatric psych facility, working as a staff nurse, admissions coordinator, and utilization review specialist.

Wonsiewski obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from LaSalle University and earned his Nursing degree from Gwynedd Mercy University. 

Grant Whytock – Utilization Review Director

A seasoned behavioral health professional with over 30 years of experience, Grant Whytock brings his leadership skills in hospital administration to this patient resources position.  With extensive knowledge of Utilization Management, Whytock seeks to improve the delivery of inpatient treatment in an efficient and cost-effective manner. 

Joanna Hopkins – Nurse Manager

Joanna Hopkins, RN, BSN, has amassed experience in various roles throughout the healthcare field in a short amount of time.

Hopkins began her career at a nursing home and rehabilitation center. She served as a charge nurse and nursing supervisor at a facility that focused on geriatrics, long-term care and memory care for nearly four years. Hopkins then moved on to join the Haven team as a psych charge nurse, and now the Nurse manager.

Hopkins is a registered nurse that obtained her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She also earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

Khalil Elliott – Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement

Khalil Elliott has extensive experience in behavioral health in the Philadelphia and New Jersey market place.  He is highly skilled in investigations, auditing documents and records, as well as incident/risk management.

Prior to Haven, Elliott was the Risk/Quality Management Specialist for Bancroft in New Jersey.  Past experience also includes work as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Horizon House and a Service Coordinator for Pathways to Housing, both in Philadelphia.  Elliott received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia University.

Mary Rogers – Business Office Director

Mary Rogers has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years.  Prior to Haven, she was the Director of Patient Access and Communications at Roxborough Memorial Hospital for over 15 years.  She was also the HIPAA Privacy Officer at Roxborough.  Rogers is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and is certified in HIPAA Privacy.
