Miles C. Ladenheim, M.D., Esq. – Court Liaison

Miles C. Ladenheim, M.D., Esq., is a psychiatrist and lawyer, who has been with Haven since 2014 (just a year after our founding). He has been involved in over 25,000 civil commitment cases on behalf of hospitals since 1992, and frequently gives lectures to attorneys and hearing officers on aspects of Pennsylvania’s Mental Health Procedures Act (which governs 302’s and other involuntary petitions). He was also an Adjunct Professor at Temple Law School, where he formerly taught Mental Health Law.

Ladenheim, holds an A.B. degree from Columbia University, an M.D. degree from the S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center at Brooklyn (formerly Downstate Medical Center) and a J.D. degree (magna cum laude) from the Temple University Beasley School of Law. Ladenheim is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Administrative Psychiatry, and is a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
