Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia’s dedicated staff provides personal attention to each patient, family member and referral source. This section is to help you prepare for your visit at our hospital.

During Your Stay

Haven has several policies that must be met to ensure you make the most of your stay. These policies include items that you should leave at home and some of which you should bring. Haven also has a strict non-smoking policy.  Please see our Patient Handbook for more information on what to expect during your stay.

Discharge Procedure

Planning for the care that you will need when you leave Haven begins the day that you are admitted to the hospital. Your interdisciplinary treatment team will work with you and your family, or support system, in your discharge planning.

Visiting Hours

At Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia, we are aware that family and friends make up most of the support that people need assistance. Our visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Visits are limited to one hour at a time and two visitors at a time. Under 12 years of age are not permitted. Personal belongings are not allowed on the unit. You will be asked to return any purses, briefcases, and cell phones to your vehicle. We will not store these items for you.
